Uploading to PhotoEntry

Before being able to use PhotoEntry you must register and save a password for future use. Please advise the Competition Secretary that you would like to enter work so that you can be sent a link to register with PhotoEntry.

Whilst submitting images using PhotoEntry is intuitive the following steps may be of help until you become familiar with the system:

1. Login to PhotoEntry at https://compent.photoentry.uk/compent

2. This will open at the 'Main Menu

3. Select ‘Competition Group’ – usually the current Competition Year.

4. Select the competition you require from the list within the chosen group and check that it is ' Open’.

5. Click - ‘Add New Entry.’

6. ‘Entry Title’ – type in the title of your entry.

7. Click - ‘Add This Entry’.

8. Click - ‘Choose JPEG’ – browse to the folder containing your images.

9. Select the required image and click ‘Open’.

10. Click - ‘Upload Image’ and the image will load into PhotoEntry.

11. Once the image has been uploaded check for warning messages – these are shown in orange.

12. Make corrections to the image file if required and resubmit. Please note that whilst PhotoEntry will automatically resize it is best done yourself. When everything is correct ‘OK’ will show in green. 

13. To add a second entry click ‘Add New Entry’ and repeat the process.

14. To check your entries click on ‘Show All Entries’.

15. Logout when your entries are complete.
